Behaviour Based Safety
BBS is the acronym for Behaviour Based Safety. BBS is the application
of the “science of behaviour change” to job safety. BBS is not a theoretical idea. It has been successfully applied in hundreds of companies. Examples reach from mining companies, processing industries including the health care industry till service sectors.
The implementation of a BBS – system results in an increased frequency in safer behavioural habits. The more employees that behave safely at the workplace; the less likely it is that they find themselves in a dangerous situation.
Consequently, the rate of occupational injuries decreases.
